The Bouroullec brothers are brilliant. Within the field of industrial design, I consider them real leaders, with their interesting use of materials, thoughtful designs, and perfectionism.

For their latest project for Gallery Kreo, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec have designed these exquisite necklaces made from blood jasper, black onyx, and Carrara marble.

The brothers see pearls as having a logical place within their work; "a simple module that can be repeated to create a new setting. We had a profound desire to use stone in relation to our fascination with primitive jewellery, something direct but searching as well for delicacy in its fall and the relation to the body."
