Very nice in the box or jewelry box of Maison Alphonse Giroux.
Also called ''merchant princes'' is a Parisian manufacturer of large furniture and luxury accessories, whose products were intended for an aristocratic and bourgeois clientele, installed in 1799 at No. 7, Rue du Coq Saint Honoré then Boulevard des Capucines. Founded by François Simon Alphonse Giroux under the ''A. GIROUX in PARIS ''resumed by Giroux children and remains active under the name of'' Alphonse Giroux and Co. ''until 1867, when the direction is reversed parFerdinand Duvinage.
This box therefore dates from the early 19th century and has a magnificent Boulle marquetry.

This box represents the pinnacle of elegance.
