About This Piece

Vintage Design

Spectacular crystal ashtray with a lion's head in bas-relief, treated with acids and signed by the Lalique France manufacture with diamond tip, dating back to the first decades of the 20th century. The object was made in full deco style and is of the highest artistic level, a large quantity of crystal, very thick and very heavy compared to its measurements.

Information on the artist and/or manufacturer:
The Lalique brothers' factory was founded towards the end of the 19th century and is internationally famous for the quality and beauty of its artistic glass and crystal. Among the various brothers who founded the manufacture, the vase can be attributed, in our opinion, to René Lalique.
