This is a beautiful Regency Revival flame mahogany and Satinwood banded oval dining table dating from Circa 1980, made by the Master Cabinet maker William Tillman and bearing his label on the underside, with a matching set of eight swagback Regency Revival dining chairs. The fabulous 6ft 3 inch flame mahogany tilt top table can seat eight people in comfort. The top is decoratively crossbanded in satinwood with ebony and boxwood stringing. It sits on a satinwood hand turned column with mahogany banded quadruple swept fluted sabre legs that terminate in brass toes and castors. The set of eight Regency Revival swagback dining chairs are upholstered in a cream damask fabric and compliment the table perfectly. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome set which represents all the very best elements of English furniture making. It is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection and a talking point with guests at meal times. Botanical name for the mahogany these items are made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation. Condition: In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned polished and waxed in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
