Vintage Design

Set of four patinated wooden doors or lattice partitions, China, early 20th century. Rectangular in shape, with solid lower sections and open latticework in the upper sections, some with remaining hinges (some rusted). Originally sliding doors, women used to hide behind them to listen to conversations. The iron hinges are later additions from the 1950s.

One door is more worn and requires restoration of the missing bottom crossbar (where the green bubble wrap is shown in the photos).
