About This Piece

Original etching and aquatint realized by Achille Perilli in 1969. Hand signed and dated in pencil lower right. Titled ''Rosole'' in pencil lower central margin. Edition of 95 prints. Good condition except for foxing on the lower margin. Presenting small punctures that suggest it used to be sewn. Total blue background with an abstract composition. Green and light blue geometrical boxes are surrounded by relief red outlines. The title ''Rosole'' (little Poppy plants which are found in the lands, in the valleys and along the ditches) suggests a vegetable composition. Image Dimensions : 57.5 x 40.5 cm Achille Perilli (Roma, 1927) is a popular Italian artist that founded ''Gruppo Forma 1'' in 1945 with Piero Dorazio, Carla Accardi, Giulio Turcato and other Italian painters and sculptors. He helped to bring the abstract painting in Italy.
