Vintage Design

This stylish Art Nouveau mahogany and marquetry hall or side cabinet dates from circa 1900. It has an arched cresting above a divided mirror flanked by a pair of circular platforms on downswept supports. The projecting base has a finely inlaid centre panel depicting sailing ship, outlined in boxwood and flanked by a pair of leaded, glazed doors. The doors are enclosing a glass shelf and is fitted with original handles, working locks and 2 keys. It's all standing on square legs terminating in pad feet, united by a fretwork apron. This antique mirrored cabinet is in wonderful original condition and is retaining its original finish, gradation of colours and patina.
