Antique Art Nouveau Chesterfield Brown Leather Living Room Set, Set of 3

Very rare, fully restored, highly collectable Art Nouveau Chesterfield brown leather three-piece suite with hardwood & Satinwood frames inlaid with mother of pearl What can I say, this suite has been on a journey restoration wise, it is the finest of it's type I have ever seen. The front panels are Marquetry inlaid with hardwood, Satinwood and small pieces of mother of pearl, I have never come across the style before. It is late Victorian Art Nouveau, the elegant lines resound through the frame and seating. In terms of the restoration this piece came to me in need of well deserved love, it was a pale faded green colour, there were numerous missing buttons and someone had upholstered the back panels with faux leather, some of the arm ends in the same, the seat platforms had all collapsed, as such I had all the faux leather panels removed and replaced with plain Italian cattle hide leather, all the buttons were custom made with he same leather and replaced, the seat platforms were removed, and rebuilt from the ground up, new Italian leather upholstered on all the bases, what was left of the old green upholstery was washed back, the whole suite was then hand dyed and antiqued six times to give it this deep rich cigar brown colour. The timber was washed back and French polished. This is exquisite craftsmanship of the finest order. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
