Vintage Design

Stunning Pair of Royal Vienna Austrian Hand Painted Two Handled Mantle Vases of Museum quality of ovoid outline, ending on circular bases, complete with original finial covers.

Painted by renowned porcelain artist A. Heer. Last half of the Nineteenth Century.

Four painted classical scenes by A. Heer depicting ''Pandora and Prometheus'', ''Telemach'', ''Opfernde Nimpfer'' and ''Hrlheil des Paris'' on a red and gilt ground, raised on a square platform base, bearing upturned blue Vienna shield mark.

Height: (entire) 11.75” (30cm). Width: (at base) 3.5” (9cm). Depth: 3.5” (9cm).

Condition: Good untouched condition with no evidence of any restoration, some gilt loss but no damage where each vase meets its base. Both signed in gilt lower right A Heer.
