About This Piece

Vintage Design

Rectangular wooden mirror with carvings and decorations featuring garlands and floral motifs. Probable origin: early 19th-century Italy. Frame in good condition, the pediment features a peacock; all the decorations are supported by wooden slats on the back of the mirror. The glass mirror and gilding are original. The piece has undergone several conservative restorations.
