Maple & Co were a prestigious family company, furnishing grand establishments all over the world, including Tsar Nicholas's Winter Palace and the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna. A table such as this would have lived in a richly well assembled household.

The table has turned frieze galleries on fluted supports. It is in the original patina, which is in very good condition showing a few marks with age.

The marble top is not original and features a polished finish and a slight bevel to the edge.
