Vintage Design

Antique early-20th Century Russian Faberge solid silver & glass pair of champagne flutes, the plain and translucent glass flutes mounted with a silver stand. The stand designed in an Empire style, centered with an acanthus and ribbon tied wreath, mounted with a 25 kopek coin depicting Nicholas II and the Imperial two headed eagle to the reverse. Hallmarked silver 84 (875 standard), St-Petersburg, Assay Master YL (Yakov Lyapunov, 1898-1903), Makers mark AN (Antti Nevalainen, active 1885-1917), Faberge retail mark.

Faberge has always been synonym of opulence and finest quality. The combination of precious materials and supreme craftsmanship applies both to non-utilitarian objects such as eggs, miniature animals and flowers and practical utility items. Nowadays some of the famous Easter Eggs and decorative objects made between 1885 and 1917 are displayed in the most important international museums, treasured by collectors and sought after at auctions.
