This is a set of 4 antique Chippendale revival chairs. An English, mahogany elbow or armchair, dating to the late Victorian period from the 1900s.

Enthusiastically carved throughout, the lyre back and top rail a treat of leaf detail
Serpentine arms terminate in scrolled knuckles, adorned skilfully with oak leaves
S-curve arm supports with further leaf motif and decorative fluting

Broad leaf knees surround a sash shaped front apron
Distinctive cabriole front legs enhanced with superb ball and claw feet
Gently splayed pad feet to rear, cascading gently from the back rest
