About This Piece

Vintage Design

This modernist bar car was designed by Art Deco designer Jacques Adnet (1901-1984) in France in the 1930s. Typical of Adnet designs he has two handles made of solid glass rods and a mounting technique in which no screws are visible. The two levels are made from mirrored glass mounted in a chrome-plated metal frame. The four vertical square tubes are also made of chromed brass. It remains in a good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age. The four wheels are in excellent condition.
