A large, heavy vase with a Classic, spherical shape.

What makes this piece unique is the is the decoration created as a result of sanding glass at two heights.

The vase has been signed by the artist.

Made in circa 1920, the vase is an example of the Art Deco style.

A richly decorated vase with an elegant leaf motif. The linear, fairly sharp edges of the leaves fit beautifully with the smooth lines in the bottom half of the vase. The upper layer glitters in brown and gold, and yet it is slightly transparent. The bottom layer is a matt, milky surface. The contrast of these two parts gives the decoration a unique character.
