Ashtray and flowerpot made of stoneware by Franco Bucci, one of the founders of Laboratorio Pesaro in the 1970s. This set was made by hand, so it is a unique and unrepeatable piece with imperceptible irregularities.
It is part of a series designed by Franco Bucci during his working period in Tunis (1967-1968). The objects in this series are made up of different shapes that can be stacked and used separately as small vases, ashtrays or containers. In fact, the one proposed is a large white ashtray that serves as a base for a sphere, also white. The sphere is slightly flattened at the top so that it is stable when turned and used as a vase for small flowers.
A beautiful piece of Italian, or rather Pesaro, artistic craftsmanship, in excellent condition.
Only a very light spinning on the vase. The sign that you see in the photo on the inside of the ashtray is not a break, but only a lack of white colour (see photo of the detail).
The ashtray is signed under the base.
