About This Piece

Vintage Design

Beautiful and rare 1930s bedroom, handcrafted in northern Italy, commissioned by an industrialist of the time for his two daughters
High-quality furniture made of solid maple with solid cherry parts and maple root veneer, which gives the typical light color
The room consists of two single beds, a dresser, a bedside table, a single-door wardrobe with drawer and two chairs. There is only one key, which serves the wardrobe. The dresser and bedside table have a recently made glass shelf
The style is very particular and stands out from the fashions of the time: it is very reminiscent of the Provençal in a modern version, simpler and more stylized, with wavy lines together with completely linear walls
Structurally the furniture is very solid and robust, in excellent condition, with some small signs of woodworms on the dresser (almost absent on the other furniture) and some small cracks consistent with age
We cleaned and polished them for conservation purposes
