About This Piece

Vintage Design

This exquisite Biedermeier mirror dates from around 1830 and originates from South Germany. The frame is crafted from beautifully grained walnut veneer on a softwood core and features the clean architectural lines typical of the Biedermeier period. The warm tones of the bookmatched veneer display remarkable depth and patterning, enhanced by a hand-polished finish. The mirror plate is clear and in excellent condition. The stepped cornice and plinth base lend the piece a balanced, classical presence. The back shows authentic construction with original boards and age patina.
