Vintage Design

The Aluminum Chair EA 108 by Vitra, covered with a black cloth, is one of the most important design concepts of the furniture industry. In the 60s, Charles and Ray Eames designed the chair for the private home of an art collector. They left the classical concept of the seat pan and stretched a fabric or leather web taut spring between two aluminum sides. The chair thus adapts to the body and offers comfort despite absence of padding. The chair is rotatable. The set consists of four chairs.
