Vintage Design

This superb pair of consoles is made of solid brass and white marble and dates from the mid-70s. They were designed by Robert Thibier for his apartment and showroom located on the rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris. These consoles were part of a set that he designed especially for his dining room, and produced in only 10 copies, each piece signed. These bear the numbers 1/10 and 9/10. Typical of Robert Thibier's neoclassical drawing, these consoles represent a solid brass heron. The details and finishes are really beautiful. They were designed for a round room, but could be adapted for a flat wall by resizing the marble. It comes with the original invoice of 52.000 Francs (equivalent of 14.000 € today) and documentation.
