About This Piece

Vintage Design

This iconic high quality flower or cactus watering can was designed by the German artistic blacksmith Emil Funk in the former GDR / East Germany.

It was handcrafted at the then renown VEB-Kunstschmiede in Neuruppin, northwest of Berlin, which was famous for its artistic blacksmithing products. Since the 1930s Emil Funk's workshop was part of the famous Gildenhall craftsmen's colony.

Its quality design with the long, elegantly shaped spout and hammered can body makes ithis watering can an outstanding mid-century product for the home from this special era.

This decorative piece is suitable for daily use.
