Vintage Design

Fantastic set of 4 exceptional D 96 chairs from Tecta. The chairs, with their minimalist lines, come in very good condition. The frames made of chrome-plated steel tubes only show minimal patina. The cushions are made of a sand-colored mohair/velor fabric, are laced with black elastic bands and are in good condition. The straps are in good condition and show minimal signs of fatigue.

The architect Hans Könecke designed various furniture for DK Moebles in his studio in Caracas and founded the Tecta factory in Lauenförde at the end of the 1950s. Here he designed a variety of pieces of furniture in conjunction with his favorite material, acrylic glass, such as the well-known D49 chair. He designed the D96 chair at the end of the 1960s as a dining chair and in a version as a lounge chair. An investment in design.
