This rare set of "Cadett" armchairs with matching table by Eric Merthen for IRE Möbel AB is a stunning example of mid-century modern design.

This design classic is sometimes (wrongly) granted to COJA designers Arne Norell and Sven Ellekaer and is extremely rare.

Crafted in the 1960s, these chairs feature a striking composition of blackened wood frames and supple black leather upholstery. The seamless integration of leather belts and strapping, with no visible screws or joinery, showcases outstanding artistry and meticulous attention to detail. the table has a reversable table top; one side black and the other laminated white.
