A lovely circa 1840 hand carved Dutch trunk chest or bench seat with internal storage and lovely panels A very well made and good looking piece, we have used it for years as a toy chest for my young son, it has also been used as a hall bench for his shoes. We have now moved and sadly no longer have room it. The front has lovely Dutch carved panels, the top a large burr, the back the original oversized hinges In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, it will have some light patination but mostly it’s in very fine order indeed Dimensions Height:- 46cm Width:- 70cm Depth:- 40.5cm Internal dimensions Height:- 25cm Width:- 59.5cm Depth:- 20.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
