Vintage Design

A distinctive Danish coffee table designed by Henry Kjærnulf and produced by EG Kvalitetsmøbel in Denmark during the 1960s–1970s.

The table features a decorative top composed of ceramic art tiles signed “Kjærnulf / Art”, framed in solid oak. The combination of handcrafted tiles and sculptural oak construction reflects the bold and expressive Brutalist direction seen in Danish furniture of the period.

The solid oak frame showcases refined joinery and softly shaped edges, while the original brass casters add both functionality and character.

Kjærnulf is known for his strong, rustic interpretations of Scandinavian design, often combining traditional craftsmanship with artistic detailing. This piece is a fine example of that philosophy.
