Danish Teak Armchairs by Grete Jalk, 1960s, Set of 2 About This Piece Vintage Design An original pair of, Model No. 218-S, Teak armchairs designed by Grete Jalk for France & Sons in Denmark during the 1960s. The chairs are in beautiful condition having been fully restored and reupholstered. The frames are very well-made and sturdy with a deep polished Teak glow with some minor signs of wear commensurate with their age and use. The cushions are reversible and have been sympathetically and professionally restored to their original dimensions and buttoned design. The cushions have been recovered in a warm, cream-coloured boucle fabric which is hard wearing and very in fashion right now. The cushions meet current fire standards and have the requisite fire labels. The upholstery was conducted by renowned upholsterer Stephen Moody M.A so the highest standard is guaranteed. Perfect for most rooms of the home perhaps in front of a warm fire as winter draws in.
