Bertille & Mathieu

Bertille & Mathieu is the moniker of Bertille Laguet (born in Jura, France, in 1988) and Mathieu Rohrer (born in Vaud, Switzerland, in 1989). The duo met while pursuing their Bachelor’s degrees in product design at the École cantonale d’art de Lausanne (ECAL). After graduating in June 2012, they launched their studio in January 2013.

Bertille & Mathieu’s work honors the mark of the craftsman’s hand, while incorporating an element of humor. Notable projects include the Lobmeyr Experimental Sweet Factory for the 2013 Vienna Design Week Passionswege.

The pair lives and works in Lausanne.
