Malgorzata Mozolewska

Artist-designer Malgorzata Mozolewska was born in 1985 in Warsaw, Poland. She studied product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating with a Master’s degree in 2010. Between 2011 and 2014, she worked as a product designer in Marcel Wander's  studio in Amsterdam, contributing to projects for brands such as Moooi, Allesi, and Bisazza. In 2015, she joined Form & Seek, a collective of young designers interested in both the functional and poetic appeal of design. That same year, Mozolewska established her eponymous studio in Warsaw. Soon after, she relocated the studio to London.

Standout projects to date include Eye of the Light (2015), a tabletop lamp composed of a malleable metallic fabric that can be manipulated by hand, allowing the user to playfully reflect light as he or she desires. This project was financed by a “Young Poland” grant from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. As of this writing, Mozolewska has been included in several group exhibitions, including DMY Berlin (2010 and 2011); Self-Structure at Le Lieu du Design (Paris, 2011); Expo Milano (2015); Scope Art Show (Miami, 2015); Design Junction (London, 2015); Meet My Project at Les Arts Décoratifs Museum (Paris, 2015); and with Form & Seek at Ventura Lambrate (Milan Design Week, 2015 and 2016).
