Vintage Design

“Down” two-seat sofa by Carlo Bartoli for Rossi di Albizzate, 1970s Italy. An iconic Italian design sofa from the “Down” series. The design is defined by its striking balance between the clean architectural frame and the generous, sculptural cushions, creating a piece that is both visually bold and comfortable. This two-seat version features a satin black wooden frame and has been newly upholstered in a luxurious dark blue mohair fabric. The rich texture and deep tone of the mohair beautifully enhance the soft, voluminous appearance of the cushions while adding warmth and elegance to the overall design. with its fully finished back, the sofa works beautifully as a freestanding piece, making it ideal for open interiors where it can be appreciated from every angle. A timeless example of sophisticated 1970s Italian design that combines comfort, craftsmanship, and sculptural presence. In very good vintage restored condition. We also have the three-seater and coffee table.
