Vintage Design

This striking glazed ceramic figural oil lamp, produced in Italy between the late 19th and early 20th century, stands out for its strong decorative presence and richly sculpted composition. The central body features an elaborate narrative scene depicting Pulcinella accompanied by additional theatrical figures inspired by Neapolitan popular tradition, creating a lively and theatrical decorative ensemble.

The craftsmanship combines sculptural detail, polychrome glazing and a refined balance between function and ornament, transforming the piece into a decorative object of remarkable visual impact. The original etched glass reservoir and period burner further enhance its authentic late 19th–early 20th century character.

Through its subject, execution and ornamental quality, the piece belongs to the tradition of Italian decorative ceramics, figural interior art, Neapolitan decorative antiques and sculptural decorative objects, making it particularly suitable for refined and eclectic interiors.
