About This Piece

A Portuguese Mid Century Egyptian Revival double snake Ring that was made in the early 1940s.

A coiled snakes are adorned with a round synthetic sapphires each and diamond eyes mounted in Portuguese 19.2 karat yellow gold.

Snakes mean "Eternal love" so they were given as wedding rings or commitment rings and really look like these snakes were made for each other.

The snake symbol is also associated, in a positive aspect, with wisdom, ascension and spiritual strength.
