This armchair is a splendid example of the Empire (from 1795-1815 at the time of Napoleon I) A bronze eagle supports the armrest and is a frequently used motif of this era. The cover has been renewed and remains true to the original. The wood is probably walnut wood, residential condition.
Made around 1830-1850.
