Vintage Design

Superb mantelpiece set in Yellow Sienna Italian marble and patinated bronze, consisting of a large clock surmounted by a sculpture depicting a woman in the antique style and a pair of cassolettes on pedestals, forming Medici vases.

The pendulum is made on 3 marble levels. In the upper part, an important bronze appearing a young woman, draped in her toga, hair surrounded by a crown of flowers summoned with a large knot, is supported on the clock. Books on it imply that the young woman is reading her. In the middle, a block of horizontal marble is decorated with an ornamentation in patinated bronze, forming volutes and palms. Below, the yellow marble base has a large bronze frieze chiseled with rips in the upper part and rests on four bronze feet, made up of large scrolls. This large pendulum is accompanied by small Medici vases in patinated bronze, supported by a pair of yellow marble from Siena surrounded by a bronze leafy frieze.

Impressive by its size and elegance, this fireplace attracts the gaze with its presence, its colors and its ornaments.
