1960s Original French Tolix Kub Outdoor Dining Table – White Square. Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic cafe chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934 and sadly now copied worldwide. Tolix used their metal working skill to also produce exquisitely designed but practical cafe/dining tables to partner their chairs and the Kub is one of their most recognisable classics with the inverted pyramid-shaped pedestal design from the 1930’s. The KUB Table has lost nothing of the charm that made it so popular on cafe patios from the 1930s to 1950s. The table is in one piece in exceptional original condition with a knee height clearance of 70cm.
