GE290 lounge chair by Hans J. Wegner, GETAMA, Denmark. Solid oiled oak frames, loose cushions upholstered in an off-white handwoven bespoke fabric. Lounge chair GE290 is a much appreciated early design by Hans Wegner. Wegner already designed the chair in 1953. The chair offers exceptional good seating comfort and much convenience is offered from the wide armrests that can hold a cup, book and phone. Chair is from current production (2023) by the same manufacturer 'GETAMA' who makes the chair ever since the existence, 1953 in Denmark in the same high quality. The chair is executed with all new cushions by GETAMA upholstered in a bespoke very exclusive handmade fabric. Woven with yarn in varied thicknesses and tones, the texture reflects the hand-woven techniques. This fabric has a full and soft touch. The beautiful solid oak frame is in mint condition, the wood is finished and are with a natural oil highlighting the very best character features of the oak timber. This is an exquisite quality and timeless chair design with grand seating comfort in all new, unused condition.
