A superb Georgian bookcase boasting an exceptional colour flame mahogany with an eye catching grain. This wonderful piece of furniture comes in 3 parts for transport, the top cornice has lovely moulded detail and sits above 2 large doors with stunning oval panels and string inlaid surround, cross banded with rich flame mahogany veneer. The doors have the original working lock and key and open to reveal 3 height adjustable shelves inside. The base has a central cupboard door with matching oval panel and 2 further shelves inside, flanked either side by 4 drawers with cockbeaded fronts and later brass swan neck handles.
A rare and wonderful model, this bookcase encloses everything inside and is ideal for storing large box files. A perfect addition to any home office.
