German Bauhaus Aluminum Ceiling Lamp, 1930s

About This Piece

Vintage Design

Magnificent chandelier made completely of aluminium during the Bauhaus period.
The upper big plate is down-going in a tulip shape, and on its bottom is fixed a round dome. It's varnished inside in cream white to reflect warm light when illuminated from the bottom.
Inside the bottom dome three bulb holders for Edison bulbs in good working condition.
On top of the upper plate, inside the tulip shape and invisible when the lamp in mounted, there are two bulb holders for Edison bulbs, also in good working condition, in order to reflect the light towards the ceiling.
The electrics of the lamp have been exchanged some years ago and is provided for double connection- therefore you can switch on the two electrics of the plates separately.
The lamp is in great vintage condition with very few scratches, but no defects or dents. The lamp is in very good working condition.
