About This Piece

Vintage Design

Designed in 1965 by Edmund Homa, polish architect and designer. The project has been awarded with silver medal on Polish National Fair „Autumn 1965”. Produced by Gościcino Furniture Factory (Gościcińska Fabryka Mebli), soon became a symbol of luxury. Original armchair with removable headrest and footstool have undergone complete restoration. After removing old varnish, wooden frame has been stained dark brown and covered with few coats of semi-matte varnish. Furniture’s filling was replaced and upholstered in high-quality fabric resembling the style of classical Polish design of the 60s.
