Surreal Composition is an original Lithograph Realized by Giovanni De Simone in 1977. Limited edition of 25 copies in Very Good condition on a white cardboard. Hand-Signed, Numbered and Dated by the Artist on the Lower Margin. Giovanni De Simone (28 Octaber 1930 - 26 March 1991) was an Italian Ceramist. In his hometown he founded his laboratory in Palermo: it was the fifties and here he devoted himself to the production of use ceramics and decorative tiles from traditional hand painted coating and furnishing. Its evolution as an artist leads him to carry out works inspired by primitivism at a later time but characterized by a burlesque and festive vein with demeanes with bright colors enamels, often thickly given, such as objects of use for furnishing furnishings and marked sculptures in Traditional and modern style. Giovanni De Simone's original style has been called a synthesis between the great formal lesson of masters such as Picasso, Matisse, Leger and Klee and elements taken from the folklore and traditions of Sicily.
