About This Piece

Vintage Design

This tall and elegant overlay glass vase is distinguished by its sophisticated, traditional "à canne" technique. The flowing, vertical pattern consists of dense, burgundy and white glass rods, lending the minimalist, conical form a dynamic, sculptural depth.

The organically curved silhouette culminates in a characteristically beveled opening, typical of Gangkofner's groundbreaking, modern design vocabulary of the post-war era.
