Vintage Design

A pair of decorative wall sconces with textured glass shades and a simple brass body, model number 8971, likely made in Northern Europe in the 1970s. The highly textured glass surface creates a vibrant play of light and is reminiscent of Scandinavian pressed glass lamps of the same period.

The sconces consist of a folded brass wall bracket and a clear, heavier glass shade, secured with brass screws. The type plate "8971 – Max 40 W" is located on the inside. No manufacturer is indicated. Both sconces are in very good, fully functional vintage condition with minor, age-related wear on the metal. A two-core cable is currently installed on the lamp.
