Vintage Design

Hand blown table lamp in pink, yellow and blue clear Murano glass, manufactured by Artistica Murano CCC (Italy).
This lamp in the shape of a fish is hand blown with the Sommerso technique. It became popular in the 1950s thanks to Flavio Poli who designed glass objects for Seguso Vetri d’Arte with beautiful color selections, expertly assisted by the master glassblower Angelo Seguso. The first sommerso items were those designed by Carlo Scarpa for Venini & Co. in the 1930s.
Sommerso (‘immersed’), is a form of glass with layers of contrasting colors. They are formed by dipping colored glass into another molten glass.

Condition: excellent, minimal signs of wear corresponding age and past usage.
The lamp has a new socket and will be delivered fully working. Optionally, a lampshade can be added (not included), but also very nice without a lampshade with a vintage LED lamp (not included).
