This glass wall lamp model C-1649 “Chartres” was made by Willem van Oyen for Raak Amsterdam in the 1960s. Willem van Oyen took his inspiration for this design from the stained glass church windows of Chartres. These designs are often also attributed to A. Lankhorst, an architect who used these lamps for his restaurant Dijkstra in Zwolle (Netherlands). Raak Amsterdam also called this lamp a ‘melt painting’. The lamp has a white lacquered iron wall bracket. Furthermore, the lamp consists almost entirely of broken glass parts (mainly green/blue) on reinforced glass. Each composition is identical. Restoration and Damage Details	Reupholstered, Rewired and/or new electrical components, The lamp is in good condition and has normal signs of wear depending on the age of the lamp. The lamp has been completely rewired with new sockets. You only have to screw in two lamps (E27) to enjoy a beautiful retro ’60s-’70s atmosphere.
