The chairs feature a chestnut frame, which provides strength and stability, paired with rope seating and backrests that offer comfort and flexibility. The deep green cerused finish on of the chestnut wood adds a distinct character to the chairs, while the woven seat and back complements the overall structure. The design emphasizes clean lines and minimal ornamentation, typical of Italian modernist furniture during the period. These chairs were featured in the March 1942 issue of Domus, a key publication in the Italian design and architecture scene. The inclusion in Domus highlights their significance within the broader context of mid-century Italian design. The frame colour is the original and we consciously left some patina and user related wear visible.
