Two rising stars—Alexandra Denton of Studio Nucleo and Swiss-born, Sweden-based Sofia Lazzeri—teamed up to make this collection of hybrid vessels, named after the botanical technique of grafting tissue to create a new plant variety.
For this collaborative project, Denton and Lazzeri developed a series of unique pieces that unite glass and textiles. Integrating traditional dying, weaving, and glass-blowing techniques, they have created hybrid vessels characterized by intriguing oppositions: hard and soft; fragile and fortified; cold and cozy.
According to Denton, “The project aims to enhance the voices of the materials and stimulate an aesthetic experience that celebrates contrasts, knowledge, and tradition.”
Each deep blue Innesti Vessel is a lyrical, one-of-a-kind work at the intersection of design and craft.
