A striking example of late 20th-century Italian modernism, this exceptional dining set—designed by Pietro Costantini and Vittorio Introini for Cidue in 1979—embodies the bold architectural language and refined material sensibility of its era.

The ensemble features a sculptural oval dining table with a smoked glass top, poised on a polished metal base that lends both visual lightness and structural elegance. Surrounding it are ten high-back dining chairs, their dramatic vertical slats and elongated silhouettes creating a rhythmic interplay of line and shadow. Finished in deep black with upholstered seats, the chairs balance graphic austerity with comfort, offering a compelling contrast to the reflective surface of the table.

Condition report:

Very good condition, the dining table top glass is unchipped & retains a rich colour & tone, there are scratches as would be expected on a glass table of this age. The chairs are recently restored & in excellent condition. Please refer to pics.
