Vintage Design

Fabulous Murano glass table lamp. It was produced by the master Walter Furlan in the 80s with the straight filigree technique. the execution of this technique testifies to the artistic ability of master Furlan, a man who did not lack character. Filigrana is associated with the magic of the Murano furnaces. The filigree glass consists of colored glass rods that are arranged in a parallel manner over the glowing glass mass that has been rounded on the Magiosso. The invention of filigree dates back to Roman times but the Venetians brought it to the highest levels of refinement in 1500. It represents one of the main techniques and types of glass processing perfected by the Venetians which testifies to the mercantile genius of that city. ideal above a table to illuminate a corner of the room. dimensions: total height 40 cm
