Very rare art mirror by the renowned Belgian glass and mirror artist Michel Martens. Art mirrors by Michel Martens (1921-2006) are rarely seen on the market - as his production was very limited and the pieces were already high-end niche items when new. Although one of his more modest designs, this mirror is breathtakingly beautiful in the right setting. A true conversation piece. Due to its size this mirror art piece is a defining piece in a room and certainly gets a lot of attention. Just imagine this mirror in a grand hallway or next to a beautiful lounge chair. The quality and execution are breathtaking, as is the condition of this particular mirror - having only one owner and coming straight from a wonderful villa at the Belgian coast. Although quintessentially 1980s, this mirror has a remarkable modern and timeless appearance due to the simple and straightforward design. Being one of his more subtle and modest looking designs, this mirror can be used in most mid-century and modern interiors.
