About This Piece

Vintage Design

Vicke Lindstrand (1904-1983), one of Sweden's 20th century leading glass designers, joined Kosta Glasbruk in 1950 as artistic director. This sculpture is made of clear crystal with etched designs, from the front Jonah appears to be seated inside the whale. This version is particularly large, length 39 cm and weight 3386g. Fully signed at reverse, Kosta 92407 Lindstrand.
