Mid-19th Century French Louis-XVI Château Salon Set – Tufted Canapé Sofa & Pair of Bergère Armchairs, Reupholstered & Waxed

The set has recently been reupholstered and thoroughly waxed and deep cleaned, The seating has been beautifully reupholstererd in an ivory-coloured fabric.

An exceptional mid-19th century French Château Louis XVI salon suite, comprising an elegant tufted canapé sofa and a matching pair of bergère armchairs—a rare, cohesive set that brings authentic 1800s Parisian refinement into today’s interiors. True to the Louis-Philippe period (circa mid-1800s), the silhouettes are balanced and architectural, elevated by graceful carving and a beautifully harmonized, understated luxury.

The suite features a finely executed solid wood frame, richly carved with floral motifs and scrolling accents, now recently waxed to reveal a warm, glowing patina and crisp detail.
